Friendship Salad
This week we enjoyed learning about the Pilgrims and Indians. We learned how they worked together to create a delicious Thanksgiving feast. We worked together with our class friends to create a friendship salad. We used grapes, oranges, bananas, and marshmallows to make this delicious fruity dish. Everyone enjoyed working and eating together. We are so thankful for each other!

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom!
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, We are having fun in Mrs. Snell's Room! This week we had a great time with all of the letters of the alphabet. We have enjoyed reading and singing along with the book Chicka Chicka Boom Boom! The children made their own palm trees and used letters to spell their names on the tree! Our new sight words are is and up.
Math was also a busy time this week as we worked on making patterns, graphing, sorting and of course counting!
The children enjoyed their weekly visit to the library to see Mrs. Kristen. It is so wonderful to see them excited about taking books home to read with their families. We also made a special visit to our counselor Mrs. Shirley to talk about RESPECT!
The week ended with picture day on Friday! Everyone looked so nice in their best outfits! What a special day!
Next week we will continue reading Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and learning with letters!

My Little "Monsters"!
It was another busy week in kindergarten! This week we read a great book called "In the Mirror". We had such a great time making silly monster faces like the ones in the story. We even read a poem that helped us create a "huge" monster in our classroom. Check out our class picture with our favorite monster!
We worked very hard in math as we sorted and counted buttons and pattern blocks. The kids also had a great time sharing thier time-lines they made at home.
Next week we will be reading one of Mrs. Snell's favorite stories "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom".

Go Eagles!
It has been another wonderful week in kindergarten. We are all adjusting nicely to our full day schedule. The week started with a "mystery". After reading The Kissing Hand, the class discovered several "clues" from Chester the Raccoon . We searched all over the school but could never find him. We did however find a sweet treat that he left for us in the classroom.
The kids were so excited to take their own copy of our book School Tools home for the weekend. While reading this book we identified new sight words, learned to track print with our fingers, and worked on sequencing parts of a story.
Honey Bear Race is the new math game in our class, and it was quite a hit. Everyone had a great time cheering on their favorite bear as they played the game.
It is so exciting to see the children already building strong friendships. The entire class is having a great time learning and playing together.
We ended our week with a Pep Rally led by the CHS cheerleaders. Go Eagles!
